About Us
When I settled in the La Crosse area after college, the intention was to duck hunt on the Mississippi. I did my research, and got Candlewoods Coulee of Clover (“Chloe”), my first hunting dog, from Mary Howley. I put Chloe with pro trainer Wayne Curtis, who had recently won the National Open. Wayne saw something special in Chloe, and over the next few years, Chloe and I not only hunted, but entered into the world of AKC Field Trials and Hunting Tests. Chloe was my first true hunting companion, first competitive dog, and the first dam I bred. More than 20 years later, the passion for dogs, hunting, competition, and puppies continues.
We are a small, hobby breeder of purebred Labrador Retrievers. We are located in rural Wisconsin, and have shipped pups by ground and air throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. We are an AKC Breeder of Merit. The AKC Breeder of Merit Program recognizes purebred breeders who take extra care in selecting breedings to ensure good health, temperament, and genetics, and whose puppies are well cared for and placed in good homes.
Our dogs are our companions and hunting dogs, and are trained to compete in field trials and hunting tests.
